For the first time ever, a cloned rhesus monkey reached adulthood. 

Scientists have been cloning animals since 1996, starting with Dolly the Sheep, and have since gone on to successfully clone pigs, dogs, cats, and now, a rhesus monkey. 

We know that primates are one of the closest relatives to humans, and we’re all out here wondering if humans are up next, which begs the question: 

Can I volunteer as tribute? 

Tell me I’m not alone in that it would be so helpful to have say, maybe 12 of me (on a good day) to accomplish all the things. 

* all the moms who run businesses AND households said, AMEN. *

AND while having 12 of me would be cool (my husband vehemently disagrees and claims that one of me is enough, thanks) what has been even better for my business than 12 of me…

 is 1 of someone else. 

To quote John C. Maxwell, “If you want to do a few small things right, do them yourself. If you want to do great things and make an impact, learn to delegate.” 

Here’s the thing: I spent wasted a lot of time trying to do everything in my business by myself because I thought I had to???

Not sure who put that idea into my head, but I’d like to cancel my subscription. 

Take it from me (the girl who waited entirely too long to outsource)

There are women who love to do and have the capacity for the tasks that you don’t love to do or that you don’t have the skillset for. 

Not sure the best system for managing your finances every month? Outsource your bookkeeping, or hire a CPA to consult with you. 

Know that a clean house would bring the mental clarity you need to accomplish more in a day? Hire a housekeeper. 

Frustrated with your brand awareness and not sure the best strategy for your content marketing? We know a girl. 🙋‍♀️ 

Here are three of the biggest lessons I learned from outsourcing over the last 90 days: 

1. I had blindspots in my business that were keeping me from reaching my goals that I would not have known existed if I hadn’t invested in learning and/or consulted with experts in finance, project management, and sales.  
    
2. I am less of a perfectionist and more decisive when other people are dependent on me to move a project forward. 
    
3. Communicating my vision to others (like actually saying things out loud to someone else) has made me feel more accountable to actually follow through and take action on things that have always lived in Camp “Maybe Someday”

So if you need a sign, or permission, or a not so gentle nudge to let go of the things in your business that are burning you out, let this be it for you.
